Love Takes Flight
Robbins Bros., World's Biggest Engagement Ring Store®, helps customer pop the question during American Airlines Flight 192
LOS ANGELES, June 27, 2007 - As a part of Robbins Bros.' exclusive Perfect Proposals™ engagement concierge service, engagement expert Andrea Watson teamed up with American Airlines representative Lynn Mitchell to coordinate a tear-jerking surprise marriage proposal on Father's Day, June 17, 2007 during flight 192 from LAX to Boston. When the excited groom-to-be, James McKenna of Torrance, California, visited the local Robbins Bros. store, he found the perfect engagement ring for his girlfriend Janine Foster, and also brainstormed a unique way to say "Will You Marry Me?" with Perfect Proposals™ experts. A phone call to Lynn Mitchell in reservations at American Airlines made it all possible; Lynn immediately expressed interest and excitement as she helped to arrange an unforgettable and romantic milestone in the couple's life. When James and Janine arrived at the airport on June 17, he sent her to Starbucks while he finalized arrangements at the desk. During Janine's absence the crew placed the ring box on her seat and the couple later pre-boarded. James anxiously grabbed the box, dropped to bended knee in the aisle and asked Janine to spend forever with him. Of course, she said "yes!" The flight attendants brought champagne as the couple remained blissfully seated and other passengers boarded the plane. Janine sat in amazement, thankful for her new fiancé, the sparkling diamond ring that she couldn't stop gazing at, and the gracious crew at American Airlines. The pilot announced the couple's engagement over the intercom as they took flight to share the joyous news with family and friends awaiting them in Boston. (A "Happy Father's Day" for their parents it was!) "Our concierge service is all about making the guy a hero," says Steve Robbins, Chairman and CEO. "First and foremost, we are here to help our customers find the perfect engagement ring for the perfect proposal." We've all heard of wedding planners, but remember - without the perfect proposal plan, you'll never make it to the wedding! |
