Robbins Bros. Gives Water at AIDS Walk L.A.
LOS ANGELES, Calif., October 16, 2007 - Robbins Bros., World's Biggest Engagement Ring Store® announces its major sponsorship at this year's 23rd Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles fundraising event scheduled for Sunday, October 21, 2007 in West Hollywood.
As a proud and passionate sponsor, Robbins Bros. will donate 60,000 bottles of water to quench the thirst of all participants at the four various route checkpoints. For every bottle that is distributed, 10% of the cost will be donated to improve water conditions in Africa and the lives of its residents. With Robbins Bros.' Water Giving Water program, the mission includes drilling clean water wells, providing water testing kits, training villagers to determine the safe waters to drink, and providing water education programs for schools.
In addition to a corporate sponsorship, Robbins Bros. has assembled a fundraising team called the Robbins Bros. Engagement Experts in which the company invited employees, customers, family and friends to join the ten-kilometer walkathon (6.2 miles) which roughly takes about two - three hours to complete. Chairman and CEO Steve Robbins, his wife and daughter personally plan to participate.
"We are honored to be a part of this special AIDS Project LA fundraising endeavor," comments Robbins. "The Robbins Bros. business culture believes in giving back to the community and it's a privilege we're able to link two worthy causes: AIDS Walk LA and Water Giving Water. The whole company is really excited about this event. We're ready to walk!"
