5 Quick Dressing Tips for The Wedding Party
- Choose styles that are flattering for most body types. Or select the fabric and color at a major bridal shop and allow each bridesmaid to personally choose a “custom” dress from a range of styles that they feel most comfortable in and look their best. A slender, youthful bridesmaid may choose a strapless style, while a friend who is pregnant can opt for an Empire-waist design.
- Make sure shoes are as comfortable as they are pretty. You don't want a bridesmaid tripping as she walks down the aisle. Select a neutral color that they can wear again. (No one really needs a pair of foam green satin platform sandals, right?)
- Groomsmen should match each other perfectly. Check to see that each man has the same cufflinks, studs and shoes.
- Bridesmaid dresses should not have a train. They'll be doing lots of walking so you don't want their shoes getting caught on their dresses. This goes for the flower girl as well.
- Keep the colors simple. Too many color combinations worn by your wedding party will look too busy. Select 2-3 colors or shades of one color and stick to that.
